At the same time, I also <strong>rotated the chain tension blocks<\/strong> to optimally adjust the chain tension. The entire conversion took approximately <strong>30 minutes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Why the Smaller Sprocket?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Switching to a smaller front sprocket changes the gear ratio, making the bike <strong>more agile<\/strong> and more responsive to throttle inputs. At the same time, the engine revs higher at the same speed, which provides advantages in technical terrain or tight cornering sections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Technical Implications<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The gear ratio is determined by the relationship between the rear sprocket and the front sprocket:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Before:<\/strong> 42:16 = 2.625<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Now:<\/strong> 42:15 = 2.8<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The top speed is affected by the change in gear ratio. The <strong>original top speed was 205 km\/h<\/strong> with the <strong>16-tooth sprocket<\/strong>.
